Thank you very much to all parents who have dropped in the enrolment forms for Kinder for 2021.  If you know of any families within our intake area who have not yet made contact with the school could you please let them know we are now taking enrolments and to invite them to our Pre Kinder sessions on Thursdays from 1:15 pm to 2:15 pm.  These sessions are the perfect opportunity for children to familiarise themselves with the environment and to get to know their future classmates.

Unfortunately, Molesworth is not able to accept OOA enrolments for Kinder for 2021.  Below is a copy of the information from the DoE Secretary.

“Following discussions that have taken place between your school and staff from Facility Services, it has been determined that your school is currently operating at above the recommended 85 per cent occupancy.

In accordance with the Education Act 2016 (the Act) and the Secretary’s Instruction, I have determined that your school does not have the ability to accept any out-of-area (OOA) enrolments until further advised by the Learning Services Director Operations.

This restriction is necessary to ensure that your school is able to accommodate students who might move into your intake area, and to maintain flexibility in how you use your learning spaces.

I appreciate that managing enrolment can be a particularly challenging issue for Principals, however the main priority of any Tasmanian Government School is to accommodate students who live within the local intake area, with the entitlement of every child to enrol at their intake area school guaranteed by the Act.”
