PRINCIPAL'S REPORT
FROM OUR PRINCIPAL MRS LEANNE SMITH
Welcome to week 4, how quickly the first month has gone by. All classes are very settled and so much great learning happening throughout the school.
As I am sure you have all noticed the building construction continues. We were hoping for changeover on Friday, however there have been a number of delays with goods coming from the mainland so we now have a new date of the 5th March. This week we have had all the pathways around the building poured and the ramps well underway. Next week the artificial turf around the concrete will go in and the carpeting and final touches inside. Once we have the keys handed over we will be coordinating the moving of classes one class at a time. By the end of the term everyone will be in their new classrooms and we will have our hall space back for music and PE and the library will be back in its original home.
We are planning early next term for an open classroom session where parents can join in with their children in their class to share a fun session of learning in their new space. Keep an eye out in the newsletter and on Facebook for more details later in the term.
