Last Term Molesworth Pimary had 3 visits to the Hobart Gymnastics Academy in Bridgewater for our early childhood classes. Our students practised many fundamental movement skills and movement sequences! We practised moving our bodies in new gymnastics shapes including the cat, L sit, rocket and landing! We climbed ladders, ramps and even climbed the big rope that went all the way to the ceiling, some of our students climbed all the way to the top and squeaked the horn! We jumped on the mini trampolines and big trampolines. We completed an obstacle course through the big foam pit. We also practised our artistic gymnastics skills, with the ball and ropes. There were lots of balancing, hanging, supporting our body weight, scootering, jumping, log rolling, egg rolling, backwards rolling and forward rolling activities. We finished the session with a massive colourful parachute! There was a lot of fun to be had at the Hobart Gymnastics Academy, and lots of water drank after our hard work!
