Molesworth has its very own Bendere Oboya (current Australian woman 400m champion) and Catriona Bisset (Australians current woman middle-distance athlete and national record holder in the 800 metres) - and her name is Addison Jelkic!

Humble and hardworking with her athletics, Addison was invited at the SPSSA Athletics Champions Carnival to represent Hobart in the Primary School Sport Tasmania State Athletics Carnival which was held in Launceston on May 6^th. Addison competed against other students her age from all across Tasmania, it was going to be a tough competition but there was no match for Addison’s ability! In her favourite event, Addison came 1^st in the heat of the girls Year 4 800m and took home the 1^st ribbon in the final. On the day Addison ran a PB for both events cutting 3.7 seconds from her 400m time (new PB 1.14) and 8.6 seconds from her 800m time (new PB 2.55).
