PARALYMPICS AUSTRALIA EDUCATION PROGRAM
Molesworth was very lucky this term, we had a visit from not only 1 but 2 Australian Paralympic Athletes!! Jenny Blow and Jonty O’Callaghan visited 3 schools in Tasmania this term, and we were one of them!
With two Paralympic Games under her belt, Jenny is one of the Australian goalball team’s most experience competitors and Jonty is one of Australias emerging para-alpine skiers. Jenny and Jonty spoke with all of our students about their own journeys, the Olympics and Paralympics, their disability and disability in sport. We participated in many different activities and modified activities. The activities gave everyone the opportunity to see how it is to participate in activities without their vision. To find out more about these two Paralympians or the Paralympic games visit: https://www.paralympic.org.au/
Here are some of our student’s comments about the Paralympic Australia Education Program visit:

We all wish Jenny and Jonty the best of luck at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Games later this year! We are very appreciative of this amazing opportunity and wish to pass on our thanks to the Paralympic Australia Education Program.
