Game, set, match!! During our racquet sport focus in our PE lessons this term, our students have been taking to the court, testing their racquet skills, learning how to score points and playing some awesome tennis. Earlier this month we had a special visit from Alyssa and Jordan from Tennis Tasmania. They gave us many helpful tips and some new fun tennis games we can play!

While we are on the topic of tennis, did you hear about the Mini Australian Open that was held in Hobart?!  Yesterday our 2/3 and 3/4 classes travelled on the bus to the Hobart Domain Tennis Centre to participate in a Mini Australian Open on their amazing blue tennis courts! Our classes were mixed into 8 teams all named after Australian Tennis players. We had Team Barty, Team DeMinaur, Team Millman, Team Stosur, Team Bourchier and Team Tomljanovic. All teams played in single and double tennis games. Next time you see a Year 2/3 or 3/4 student ask them about the Mini Australian Open and they will be sure to tell you!
