Who's making all the racquet?! The students at Molesworth! As part of our racquet sport focus this term, we had the pleasure of Lasse Bundgaard return to Molesworth Primary to run another Badminton clinic with us. Lasse is the recent and former National Australian Coach and has a wealth of knowledge and experience in coaching both senior and junior players. It was a fantastic opportunity for our kids to be coached by Lasse and to ask lots of questions!

On Friday 18^th of June to finish our badminton unit, the year 4/5 class visited the South Hobart Badminton Association courts. The courts had just been resurfaced and we were one of the first school groups to test them out. The students couldn’t believe how big the venue was! The students did a warm-up with Lasse including a partner knee tap game which was very tricky. We were challenged with trying to hit the shuttle as high as we could – the ceiling at the venue is very tall. The students played singles and double matches as well as a game called king of the court. Lots of fun was had! When you see one of our 4/5 students around Molesworth you should ask them to tell you all about our excursion!
