This term the students in Prep/1 J have been investigating the different ways authors can make their writing more interesting, inspirational, and creative.

We have looked at the use of descriptive words. In one of our activities, we had to list all the describing words we could think of to tell others what the Gingerbread Man looks like, smells like, tastes like, sounds like, and feels like.

In another activity we had to use alliteration (the repetition of the same sound) to compose our own sentences using g words.
