TENNIS TASMANIA COACH VISIT
We have started our racquet sport focus with tennis this term. Over the last two weeks we have been lucky to have Jordan from Tennis Tasmania come and visit our PE lessons. Lots of skill development and modified tennis games were played on our tennis court!
Here are some comments from our tennis super stars:
- Eliza - you can jump to the side and hit the ball.
- Lila - I learnt that you can hit the tennis ball in any direction over the net.
- Reevie - we got to use the racquets. We learnt some new tennis games.
- Kaiden - we rolled the ball in between crocodile teeth cones!
- Ella - you have to swing very gently so the tennis ball doesn’t go really high for your partner to hit it.
- Vinnie - we had to catch the tennis ball and run to the line! I had fun!
- Lachlan - I learnt not to rush when hitting the tennis ball. It’s not all about winning.
- Henry A - I got better at trapping the tennis ball as it was coming towards me.
- Oliver G - My tennis skills got better! Especially being able to control the tennis ball.
- Heidi - I leant not to swing and hit the ball too high, if you do it will go over the fence!
- Ellis - tennis is fun! You can trap the ball in the centre of the racquet.

We would like to say a huge thank you to our school community for throwing back our tennis balls afterschool and in the morning when you see them over our fences! It is very much appreciated!
