FROM OUR PRINCIPAL MRS LEANNE SMITH

A huge thank you to all our parents and extended family members that attended our Presentation Assembly yesterday.  It was wonderful to share the class items and prize winners with such a supportive and appreciative audience.  Congratulations to all Grade 6 graduates on a fantastic celebration of your Primary School Years and all the best for High School. Enjoy all that it has to offer and I know all the learning gained here at Molesworth has prepared you for a positive productive next step. 

Change is one certainty in life and in 2020 we will see some changes at Molesworth Primary.  During the year we will have our 3 new learning spaces built ready for 2021 and access within the school will be made far more accessible for all with ramps and rails.  We will also see the water tanks replaced and moved to give us the maximum use of collected water and appropriate sized tank for fire support. 

There are a few changes in staffing for 2020.  Mrs Bush, after 40 years of dedicated teaching service within the DoE finishing with the past 4 years here has decided it’s time to relax and follow the next stage in her life.  All at Molesworth wish her all the best and thank her for all the amazing learning opportunities she has offered to our Grade 4/5s as well as her positive, friendly, kind, caring, helpful personality she has bought to us every single day.  Molesworth will miss her and so will I. 

Mrs Felicity Toogood, who has lead our wonderful music program for the past 2 years, is moving closer to home and has accepted a teaching position at Dunalley, they are very lucky to have her.  All the best Felicity.  Mr Hay will be taking over the music program and I know with his experience and skills music will continue to be a wonderful learning experience for all our students. 

This morning all the Kinder to Grade 5 students visited their new rooms and were introduced to their new teachers for 2020.  All students have been given a note to share with you about their new class.  We welcome Miss Georgia Gowing who will on our Grade 4/5 class.
