MOLESWORTH NEWS
As we head to the end of Term 3 it is great to start seeing the sun more often. Our lost property is full and overflowing. If any of your children are missing jumpers, drink bottles, lunch boxes please have a good look in the lost property pile. We would love to get everything back to where it belongs.
This term we have had Mrs Gilbert teaching the grade 4/5 class with Mrs Moores while Mrs Young has been teaching in the MEC. Mr Felmingham has indicated his intent to retire at the end of this term and enjoy life beyond the workplace. We thank Mr Felmingham for all that he has offered to every school that has visited the MEC in the past many years and for the amazing opportunities he has offered to all our students. We will have a formal thank you assembly for Mr Felmingham in Term 4. Mrs Young is very excited about taking on the MEC in a more permanent role and if you have been on an excursion this term you will have seen the passion and energy Mrs Young has for continuing the amazing programs the MEC offers.
We thank Mrs Gilbert for all she has contributed to the Grade 4/5 class, however is not able to continue next term. We are very lucky to have Mrs Binning, who is a permanent transfer to our school from Dunnally Primary School. Mrs Binning is originally from the Derwent Valley and has just moved back. She has taught Upper Primary for most of her career and is very much looking forward to being a part of the Molesworth Primary School staff.
In School Association Meeting last night we spoke about what works well for our community for communication and what they would like to see more of or are happy to not have continue. They spoke about having a calendar of dates to pin on their fridge. In week 10 we will send home a Term 4 calendar with all the dates that are ready to go to put on your fridge/noticeboard and you can add any dates if they come up during the term. Keep an eye out for it in week 10. On our website the calendar lists any up-coming events and they are colour coded for each grade. To easily check just your child’s grade simply click on their class. We are always happy to hear any thoughts, suggestions or ideas you have to improve our school, just give the School Office a call, send us an email or leave a message via Seesaw or talk with your School Association members.
