NEARLY THE END OF TERM 2 ALREADY!!
For the rest of this term and term 3
Next week I am on leave until the end of term. During this time Mr Greg Warman will be taking over my role and Mrs Kathryn Gilbert will be on Grade 1/2 for the days Mr Warman is normally in there.
Next Thursday 22nd June Mr Hay begins family leave for the rest of this term and then is taking leave for all of Term 3. We wish Mr Hay all the best as he takes time to enjoy the very precious early months of a new baby in the family. I’m sure we will see photos of the newest addition as they settle at home. From the 22nd until the end of the term Mrs Bush will be taking the 3/4 class, then for all of Term 3 we welcome Mrs Lora Warman on to the class.
Ms Gourlay continues to be away while she has treatment for her ruptured cruciate ligament in her ankle. An update today is she is progressing well and will start to do weight bearing exercises with an ankle brace. We are hoping we will see her back before the end of term. At the moment she will be away until 28th July. We have Mrs Gilbert, Mrs Bush and Mrs Herring doing an amazing job taking PE and dance classes.
The building of the lanterns
Wow, the platypus and smaller animals are looking amazing, almost ready for the parade in New Norfolk on Friday 23rd June. Congratulations to all the 5/6 students who have contributed to the project. We have one more day next week for final touches and to take a mini parade through the school to share with all the other classes before the night. If any 5/6 students are able to attend on the night that would be wonderful. Please see notice in this newsletter for more details. A very big thank you to Naomi Marantelli and the Derwent Valley Council for the idea and funding for this to take place.

Security at Molesworth
Unfortunately, due to the damage that has happened in our school we have installed security cameras around the school. We hope we will never need to review any footage but they are there to support looking after our amazing school.
I wish all families all the best for the last 3 weeks of this term and an enjoyable term break and will see everyone in Term 3 starting on Tuesday 25th July.
Mrs Leanne Smith, Principal
