NEARLY THE END OF TERM
What a busy end to the term! It has been wonderful to see the parent teacher conversations happening across the classrooms with teachers sharing evidence of learning and having productive conversations about student learning.
We really enjoyed a visit by Her Excellency Governor Barbara Baker as part of her trip around the Derwent Valley. I attended a civic reception that afternoon where she spoke of her visit as a highlight of her day.
It was great to hear about our school chess team’s first participation at the Chess Interschool Championships. Thank you to James for your time and effort in assisting our children in preparing for the competition. Parent/carers please keep an eye out next term as we will be continuting with the chess program.
We are looking forward to attending the Festival of Voices choir event next week as a whole school. We still have a few permission required for this excursion. Can everyone please check their Schoolzine app and/or email and ensure you have submitted yours.
