OLYMPIC ATHLETE VISIT
In the final weeks of last term we had a very special visit from a 5 time Australian Olympic Athlete! Anthony Edwards, who is of course Hamish’s Dad in year 4/5, came in to speak with us about the Olympics and his own experiences throughout is amazingly long and successful career with rowing.
Anthony spoke to us about the successes and also challenges he has faced during his career and how he overcame these. In his presentation he showed us different medals that he had won. Each medal he had held a different memory and emotion for Anthony and he shared some powerful messages with us. Anthony also brought along his Sydney 2000 Olympics torch and his Athens 2004 Olympics torch. We would like say a huge thank you to Anthony for sharing his own experiences, medals and memorabilia with us at Molesworth. A very memorable experience for our students!
