EXTRA LONG WEEKEND!
As we head to the end of week 6 I hope everyone has an enjoyable extra long weekend with a student free day on Friday and the King’s birthday holiday on Monday. This week saw our first wet day and the colder mornings are definitely upon us. Please continue to check in lost property for misplaced jumpers and jackets.
On Friday we have all the Derwent Valley Primary and Kinder teachers attending Molesworth to moderate student work samples in reading. This supports teachers to assess in a fair and consistent way across a number of schools. This information will become part of the students reports for their rating for mid year.
Thanks to all the families who have already booked a time for a 3-way conversation (your child is welcome to attend with you) in week 8. Check in and make sure you have booked at time with your child’s teacher/s to receive their mid year report and discuss your child’s learning. If you have any issues with making a booking please contact the School Office and they are very happy to help.
These past 3 weeks we have been focusing on the value of Courage and I was most impressed with the courage shown when the students gave their very best to complete the cross country course and today with the 34 representing our school at the interschool cross country event.
