NEARLY THE END OF TERM 2!
It certainly has been a chilly week and with Winter Solstice on Friday we are looking forward to the days starting to slowly get longer.
Thank you to all parents/carers who have made time to meet with their child’s teacher to discuss their learning so far this year and the planning for future learning. Shared information is always of great benefit to your child’s time at school. If you have not yet made a time for a conversation there are still time slots tonight and tomorrow afternoon in most classes. If you are not able to attend this week (or next in Kinder) please send a message to your child’s teacher through Seesaw and they can organise a time for a phone conversation if that suits.
CHANGES THIS TERM
This Friday Mr Hay begins parental leave and will be a stay at home dad from Friday until the beginning of Term 4. Enjoy the time David. During this time Mrs Binning will be increasing her days on the class and during Term 3 Mrs Gilbert will be sharing the class with Mrs Binning. During Mr Hay’s time away, unfortunately we are not able to find a replacement music teacher.
For Term 3 we are introducing a new language to the student’s learning and will be experiencing the language and culture of Germany. There are so many positive advantages in knowing another language and we are very lucky to have this opportunity. We welcome Anke Reymann to our staff for the term. Mr Warman is going to continue with the choir, who were fantastic in Meet and Greet this week.
In Grade 6 – Mrs Rime has taken leave and for the remainder of the term Mrs Bush and Ms Rainbow will be sharing the class. Mr Warman is going to take on the support of the students who would like to take part in Tournament of the Minds next term and I will be meeting with Bob about support for First Lego League. If any parents have any questions please contact the School Office and I am happy to have a chat with you.
