On Friday 23^rd August, we were one of 4 lucky schools who had a visit from the Waimea Wonders Jump Rope Team from Waimea Heights Primary School! The demonstration went for only 20 minutes, but for the whole 20 minutes we were absolutely mesmerised. The team is made up of Year 4-6 students who have been practising for many years, in their recess and lunch time breaks. This group perform at other schools and events to raise awareness and funds for ground-breaking research that helps to fight heart disease. Check in with your child/children to ask what different skipping skills they saw during the performance!
